There are so many interesting little tidbits that can be found in the early issues of The Fowlerville Review. This is definitely one of them. G.L. Adams republished a short article that had been printed in the Ft. Gratiot Sun, and then he posed a question.
A woman with a wooden leg was in town Tuesday, and she wanted to find a saloon. The sidewalk was already too narrow for her to preregrinate with steadiness and safety.~~Ft. Gratiot Sun
The question naturally arises how did that editor know that woman had a wooden leg? Please arise and explain, Brother Soults.
Was the question ever answered?
