The Fowlerville Family Fair recently finished celebrating its 125th anniversary. But in 1907, it had been in existence only a mere 20 years. At that time, the fair was held in the fall -- probably scheduled after most of the crops were harvested.
Every year, there would be full-page ads in the local newspaper touting of the best of the event. In 1907, a 'typical western cow boy' would be putting on a show. Here's the ad:
