This postcard is somewhat comical to me as I'm not sure there's anyplace around the village a shell such as shown above could be found! But in 1909, this card was sent by Minnie Bessert to Miss Thirza Purdy, "Dear Teacher, Our Sunday school picnic is Wednesday so if you give us our lessons you have to be here early so that you will be through by 10 o'clock." What a polite reminder.
