Squint Shot 012810

Now this is a mystery to me. I shot this picture in the old Bell Opera House. This mysterious hole, maybe for a stove pipe at one time, is up close to the ceiling on an east wall, and is now closed off. If anyone has some thoughts on this, please feel free to comment.
