Other changes have been made since that time, with office space added at the east side of the church, an addition (partially hidden by the very large pine tree) extending into the area where the parsonage used to stand, and a parking lot put in south of that. Squint Shot 040911
In the mid-1900s, a parsonage home was located directly south of the M.E. church at the corner of Church and Second streets. It was demolished, mostly due to its advanced age combined with a high need for renovation and repair. The church members made the decision to build a new house for the pastor to use, located a few blocks northeast from the church.
Other changes have been made since that time, with office space added at the east side of the church, an addition (partially hidden by the very large pine tree) extending into the area where the parsonage used to stand, and a parking lot put in south of that. Following are the "then and now" squint shots.
