It reads 'from St. Louis Stamping 2nd and Cass Ave.'
This piece of wood is at the bottom of the printer's cabinet, stored in the Handy Township hall second floor. I took the picture upside down so we could read the stenciling.
Out of curiosity, I 'googled' this lettering and came up with some information on this company in St. Louis, Missouri. If you click here, you will see some of the work this company did. If they were more involved with ironware, it makes me wonder why this was stamped on the cabinet unless they also made letters for printer. Just a thought.
