In the final days of putting together The Fowlerville Chronicles, I was given copies of some 1956 photographs of the remodeling being done for Frank's Market, when it was located on the east side of North Grand Avenue. I was able to get them in the book. As I've continued to do research, this time for a biography, I've enjoyed checking back at pictures of these buildings that were built after the 1891 fire that destroyed 13 wooden buildings in the northeast quadrant of the village.
When this reconstruction was taking place, Frank's Market had already been in business over 25 years. So, enjoy the pictures, and check out how different this block looks in the current 'now' squint shot.
