Well, the party is almost over!
Now that all of the celebrating has ended, the temporary museum, located in the larger portion of The Treasure Chest in the old hotel across from Curtis Grocery, will be dismantled next Tuesday, July 12th.
For those that supplied items for display -- a huge THANK YOU!
Most of the items were from the historical collection and will go back to the village offices to be stored in the closet. If anyone is interested in seeing what that walk-in closet holds (which will now include a campaign sign from Dick Rudnicki's 1972 successful run for drain commissioner, thanks to a generous donation), I am there every first and third Tuesday of the month, at 9 am, and usually I hang around until 10 to 10:30.
