Squint Shot 010311
The last couple of days have shown the sign in front of a house on South Ann Street labeled as "The Fowler House." Yesterday's squint shot shows the house in the early 1900s. When I was looking over the house, I noticed this interesting wood trim at the porch peak. As you look back at yesterday's photograph, you can see it has been preserved from years earlier either by mending or replacing it. This next photograph is at the top peak of the house.Over the last couple of years, I've photographed quite a few peaks in and around town -- and they are always different. As you drive through the village, look up once in a while and you can see for yourself some of the unique woodwork around town.
