Squint Shot 010611
The porch trim on the so-labeled "Fowler House, 1845" on South Ann Street was shown yesterday -- this is a closer shot of the same trim, showing the south side of the porch. Under the squint shot for January 2nd, you can find a photograph of this house taken in the early 1900s. This trim can be seen. Years later, owners Ralph and Martha Haller either replicated or repaired the trim, trying to maintain the original look to the house. I truly admire those that try to preserve a bit of the past by replicating the woodwork and style of an era.
