The windows of the building, recently torn down, which was located behind the old Butler Gun Shop, had windows with glass -- but there were also metal slats. This window opening shows from the south side exposure how the slats looked. This next shot shows from inside the building. As mentioned in yesterday's squint shot, there was a robbery of a large quantity of furs from this building when it was Sidell Fur Post in 1938 -- makes one wonder if that is when the slats were then installed.
