At some point, the house that used to stand at the northeast corner of North Second Street and East Grand River was probably added onto. Above the back door, a rather large room with windows on all three sides appeared to serve as an extra bedroom, but may have been more like a sitting room at one time. Horizontal slatting with numerous coats of paint made of the walls, while these old windows appeared to be permanently shut by more paint.
