Snack-urday 135

Our family grew up on baked apples. Every autumn the house would have that wonderful aroma of flavored apples baking while we ate dinner. It was a favorite for dessert.

It is as easy as taking:

4 cored apples
4 pats of butter
maple syrup
water

1. Place 4 cored apples in a baking dish and put a pat of butter into the center of each one. Drizzle on maple syrup.

2. Pour an inch of water into the dish. Bake at 375 degrees until tender (about 30 minutes). Baste and serve warm.
