So, who was G.A. Newman? This name and archway is centered over the building that houses Shear Image and Fowlerville Eye Care.
Here is another instance I would love to have someone comment and give the rest of us a bit of a history lesson -- anyone?

I just discovered that Geo.A.Newman merchant than banker and wife Mary had just one child. Her name was Ethel Blanche Newman born in 1896 and graduated from Fowlerville High School in 1915. She later became a doctor and married a Pearson. She was interred in the Greenwood Mausoleum in 1960. What an accomplishment for a woman to become a doctor in those days!
