Growing Up Part 2

Click here for Part 1 of Growing Up.

Here it is – where we left off with surviving our life as we know it today.

Back in the day (or my day) we drank from the garden hose and not from a bottle. We shared one soft drink with four friends from one bottle and no one actually died from this. We ate cupcakes, white bread, real butter and bacon. We drank Kool-Aid made with real white sugar. And, we weren’t overweight.

Why?

Because we were always outside playing . . that’s why! Go figure.

What do we do today that is so different? We sit in front of the TV, play on our Nintendo and text our thumbs and fingers off. We talk on our cell phones from sun-up to sun-down. We drive everywhere and circle the parking lot to find the closest place to the front entrance to our shopping madness. Whew! Now that takes a lot of energy.

Next time – let’s find out what happened when we ‘left home.’ Could be a scary thought!
