Snack-urday 125

Oh, summertime . . . and a cool, refreshing drink. Enjoy this one from Jean Sanders (both the recipe and the artwork).

Strawberry Basil Daiquiri
Makes 2 Drinks

2 cups strawberries
4 shots rum
2 shots simple syrup
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Water as needed
Ice

In a blender, add ice, strawberries, rum, simple syrup and lemon juice. Blend until smooth. Add water as needed to get a pourable consistency. Garnish with a strawberry and a sprig of fresh basil.
