Squint Shot 100310

Even though I have mentioned that obituaries would go along with all of the headstones during this month of October, I am going to forego posting Ralph and Mary's obituaries. The Fowlerville Chronicles (which you can purchase through this website or by giving me a call) has their obituaries, in their entirety, under the year 1887. Ralph passed away at the age of 79 years after a few months of "lingering illness." His second wife, Mary, passed away five days later at the age of 77 years, apparently of typhoid fever. Interestingly enough, though, the obituary for Ralph reported,

His domestic relations were very pleasant, six children being born to him by his first wife who died early in 1846. December 10, 1846, he married Mary Fowler, who still survives him, although at present lying very ill, brought on in a measure, no doubt, by the care and anxiety attending the illness of her late husband.
These small headstones stand next to the large headstone, which can be seen under October 1st squint shots.
