1913 Vacuum Cleaner

Have we come that far? I'll almost bet there are still some vacuum cleaners similar, or as old as the one shown in this advertisement found in an issue of The Fowlerville Review. The price of $30, at the time, must have seemed like a fortune! Part of the reason this ad was posted is due in part to show the agent, Roy T. Sprague. Within a few years, Mr. Sprague would be the go-to Ford guy for the latest models available. In 1917, he commissioned to have built the Ford garage, which still stands at the southwest corner. In my book, The Fowlerville Chronicles, there is a wonderful description of the building written by G.L. Adams at the time of its grand opening.
