Squint Shot 050412

At the northwest corner of South Grand and West Frank, there is a large white house, which you will see below; this side of the house faces Frank Street.  If you check out the map below at that particular corner on the 1875 map, you will see W.F. Close indicated. 

The map does not indicate a house at that corner yet, but that W.F. Close, a merchant in a variety of hardware and dry goods, owned the property.  I have wondered on occasion if he built this house or if someone else did.

He appears in the 1880 census in Fowlerville unfortunately the census enumerator did not list street names in the records that I viewed. According to family history he moved from Fowlerville in 1883.
