1900 New Enterprise

I wonder if this ever happened? I never found any other information in the newspaper, unless of course I missed it. Anyhow, this is quite interesting:

A New Enterprise ~~ For several weeks past negotiations have been in progress relative to the locating at this place a factory for the manufacture of the Royal ice cream freezer, and last week, Mr. H. Thompson succeeded in organizing a company for that purpose. The building known as the Spencer house has been leased for the new enterprise, and there has been purchased 450 freezers completed ready for the market, and material for 1,000 more which will be completed at the factory here. The business will commence at once and a number of persons will be employed. The company will supply the state of Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota for the full term of the patent, of which Mr. Thompson owns the right.

The following officers have been elected: President, H. Thompson; vice president and treasurer, R.J. Minkley; secretary, P.B. Wickman; directors, E.D. Weller, J.H. Wallace, E.L. Thompson.

The company will be known as the Royal Manufacturing Co., of Fowlerville, Michigan.
